Church of Life Fellowship

The Church of Life Fellowship was founded by Dr. Steven D. Beckham on July 11, 2010, starting with a small core group of members and an initial attendance of 34 believers. Thanks to the extraordinary kindness of Pastor Joseph Quincy and the New Galilee Baptist Church family, our new fellowship had a place to worship in its early days. We were blessed to hold services in their edifice from July 11, 2010, until we moved to our current location at 6066 Evangeline Street in Baton Rouge, LA. Our first service in this new building took place on October 2, 2011.

As God’s providence continued to bless our assembly both spiritually and numerically, we expanded to become one church in two locations. In May 2014, Church of Life Fellowship-Gardere was established, and Minister John Anderson Jr. was appointed Campus Pastor. We began with weekly Bible studies, holding our first service on February 28, 2015. Church of Life Fellowship-Gardere flourished spiritually until the facility we used was sold. Despite this setback, God continued to favor our young church.

In October 2021, our pastor and founder transitioned to a new assignment. The governing body prayerfully appointed Rev. Derrick Kyle as interim pastor. Rev. Kyle served diligently and faithfully until God blessed the Church of Life Fellowship with its second Pastor/Teacher, Rev. John R. Anderson Jr.

We look to the hills, from where our help comes. Our help comes from the Lord. The best is yet to come!
