MEET OUR PASTOR
PASTOR JOHN ANDERSON
Born on October 21, 1990, in Oakland, California. He grew up deeply influenced by his grandfather, the late Dr. Carl J. Anderson, who pastored faithfully for 54 years. Through his grandfather’s example, Pastor Anderson witnessed firsthand what it means to love God and serve His people with humility and compassion. That godly influence would later shape his own call to ministry. On August 7, 2012, Pastor Anderson accepted the call of God on his life to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Anderson began his theological studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2013, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Christian Ministry. He later expanded his education to include business leadership and ministerial training at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Over the past twelve years, Pastor Anderson has faithfully preached the Word of God and served in multiple ministry roles. Before becoming the Senior Pastor of Church of Life Fellowship, he served as an associate minister at both Church of Life Fellowship in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Ebenezer Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. These years of service helped prepare him for pastoral leadership and deepened his passion for shepherding God’s people.
On November 13, 2022, Pastor Anderson was prayerfully elected by the congregation as the second Senior Pastor of Church of Life Fellowship affirming the will of God and the truth of Scripture, that “He Himself gave some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11–12).
Pastor Anderson’s ministry centers on equipping the Church to be the “salt and light” of the world, empowering believers to live out their faith with boldness, integrity, and love. His preaching is rooted in sound doctrine, fueled by grace, and driven by a desire to see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.
Licensed by Dr. Steven D. Beckham and ordained by Dr. Jermaine G. Landrum, Pastor Anderson remains steadfast in his mission to point the world to Jesus Christ. His greatest desire is to be remembered as a servant who led others to the saving knowledge of the Lord.
